The OGA would like to acknowledge the generous contributions of some of our members to our current research and industry advocacy efforts. At a time when federal, provincial and local governments are establishing decarbonization targets and seeking viable pathways to meet them, it is important for our organization to help provide the information they need to make prudent decisions.

As professionals in the geothermal heating and cooling industry we are well aware of the low carbon benefits of this technology and we know it is ideal for current building electrification efforts. However, this is very new to many people. Awareness efforts and credible educational tools are essential. Governments are necessarily risk averse, and are receiving information from a variety of sources.

The companies shown on this page have stepped up with contributions that have allowed the OGA to support the efforts of respected research organizations such as Dunsky, who can clarify that ground source systems will help governments achieve decarbonization goals without creating other problems, such as undue stress on our electricity grids.
